What even is permanent jewelry? Is the process painful??
It is a custom fit, classless piece of jewelry, micro welded on to the body with a pulse arch welder. This safe and painless process creates a tiny spark for the weld to prevent the jewelry from coming off.
What materials are the chain made out of and will it tarnish??
We have sterling silver and 14k gold-filled chains. The metals we use are durable and hypoallergenic.
Our 14k gold-filled chain is gold bonded onto a base metal so it can’t tarnish or be rubbed off.
Like any other sterling silver piece, with exposure to different skin ph, chemicals or certain medications, there is a possibility for tarnishing. But with proper cleaning care, your piece will hold up well.

What if it HAS to be removed (medical reasons, MRI, etc.)?
No worries, if you need to remove for any reason, just simply cut the welded closed clasp with a pair of standard scissors. Be sure to keep the chain and receive 1 free re-weld per piece purchased when you are ready for it to be put back on.
How long will the jewelry last?
If taken care of properly, it will last a lifetime!
How long does it take to have it put on?
It takes less than 10 minutes from start to finish to have your permanent piece placed!
What is your re-weld policy?
While your everyday minimalist permanent jewelry is meant to last forever, accidents do happen and the dainty metal has a potential of breaking.
We want your jewelry to last! Should your bracelet, anklet, or necklace:

- stretch
- get caught on something
- need to be removed for medical purposes (ex. MRI)
Olam Chains & Co. will offer one re-weld per piece purchased, free of charge!
If we are unable to repair the original chain or you want a different style chain, we will offer a discount to replace the chain.
